Malang-Pandaan Toll Road can be accessed for Christmas and New Year

Kolom Utama. Malang-Pandaan Toll Road has been opened functionally since Friday, December 21, 2018. The 38.48 kilometer toll road has been passed by road users from Surabaya to Malang City.

"The toll road is opened from 7:00 a.m. until 17:00 p.m. WIB. On this first day 500 vehicles per hour have passed through the functional toll road," said Kanit Turjawali Malang Police, Ipda Ahmad Taufik.

Ahmad Taufik said, on the first day of the opening of the functional toll road until December 25, 2018, the toll road was devoted to one lane from the direction of Surabaya to Malang. Whereas from December 26 to 27 2018, one lane was devoted from Malang to Surabaya. Because, at this time many tourists are predicted to return to Surabaya.

Then on December 28-31 2018 the return toll road was devoted to one lane from Surabaya to Malang. Whereas on January 1-3, 2019, one lane was designated from Malang to Surabaya.

"Because the schedule also sees predictions of vehicle in and out. While the peak prediction of 1,000 vehicles will enter on December 24 and 25, then new year's eve since morning," Ahmad Taufik said.

Ahmad Taufik said that at the moment the Christmas and New Year holidays increased the volume of vehicles predicted to reach around 50 percent compared to normal days. On a normal day the number of motorists passing Lawang to Singosari highway is around 1000 vehicles per hour.
