SBY Reminds Potential of Fraud in 2019 Presidential Election

Jurnal Utama. General Chairman of the Democratic Party Board of Trustees, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, asked all party cadres who are members of the Indonesian Coalition Adil Makmur to be aware of the potential for fraud in the 2019 Presidential Election.

SBY said that at first he did not want to believe in the news of fraud in the 2019 Presidential Election. But later the news was increasingly heard with evidence that should be trusted.

So he ordered all his cadres to participate in supervising the 2019 election. "SBY said, Indonesia must really be able to run elections that are peaceful, honest and fair.

"We have to work together to prevent, remind, and refuse not to get cheated. Because if there is cheating or even massive, not good, tarnished by our democracy, our election is tarnished," SBY said at his residence, Friday, December 21, 2018.

If that happens, the people will be very disappointed and no longer trust the organizers. "Especially if the people do not accept it, we will experience a crisis and that is not what we expect," he said.

SBY added, reflecting on the election experience in previous years, even though the dynamics and political tension were quite high, but the election always went smoothly and peacefully. So from that, the 2019 election is expected to run better than the election.

"We are Democrats, and Gerindra wants to take part to ensure that this election is honest and fair. Because if it is not peaceful, honest and fair, I am afraid it will not be good for the life of this nation after the 2019 election," he said
